Position Overview:
As a full-time Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our accounting operations, focusing on tasks such as monthly closing, reconciliation, budget management, tax preparation, and general financial processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure compliance with GAAP.
Manage and record activity related to our semi-annual release of net assets.
Oversee transfers between various funds and maintain accurate records.
Assist in preparing schedules for audits, annual budgets, and tax filings.
Provide backup support for processing payroll and check requests.
Coordinate departmental inventory counts as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of four years' relevant experience.
CPA candidate or CPA preferred.
Proficiency in computerized accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate tact and diplomacy.
Familiarity with non-profit environments is a plus.
