Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. Senior Accountant responsibilities include A/P, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports. Senior accountant duties include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.ResponsibilitiesVerify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivableProduce error-free accounting reports and present their resultsAnalyze financial information and summarize financial statusSpot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spendingReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresParticipate in financial standards setting and in forecast processAssist with audit requestsSupport month-end and year-end close processEnsure compliance with GAAP principlesLiaise Accounting Manager to improve financial proceduresBe prepared to grown within the departmentRequirementsProven experience senior accountantThorough knowledge of basic accounting proceduresIn-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Awareness of business trendsFamiliarity with financial accounting statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processHands-on experience with accounting software packagesAdvanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tablesAccuracy and attention to detailAptitude for numbers and quantitative skillsBS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevantRelevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred
