Our headquarters office and main manufacturing facility is in Souderton, PA USA with international locations in Japan, China, South Korea, and Germany.
Job Description We are looking for a highly motivated, collaborative, and engaged individual to join our Finance team. As a key member of the Finance team, this role will establish and implement processes for a business in a rapidly changing industry and work across many functions. This role will be actively involved in monthly close activities and in financial consolidation and reporting. This role works within the Finance team to ensure that we report timely, accurate, and meaningful financial information and reporting. This role will assist in developing budgets, forecasts, and management reporting and produce variance analyses on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
This role incorporates accounting, internal and external reporting, internal controls, and financial analysis. As a key partner to the Finance team, this person will support many functions and work in cross-functional projects in addition to regular monthly accounting and reporting activities. This role will require the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, work independently, and be excited to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform month-end close activities including manual journal entries, account reconciliations, reporting consolidation, and cash flows Administer and enhance the monthly close process and activities to help achieve a consistent 5-day month end close Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting related to Company profitability, which measure progress against strategic plan, budget, prior year results and the latest financial forecast Develop and generate monthly Board and Corporate reporting packages Conduct financial data mining and value-based business analysis to positively influence business decisions Actively review financial results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to help formulate timely and impactful responses with senior leaders Assist with evaluating project cost and project or product line profitability Review bill of material costs compared to estimate to understand cost variances on manufactured parts or systems Support the functional leadership team by sharing their spend results, reviewing budgets to action, and helping to improve forecast accuracy Maintain key performance indicators to measure critical financial and operational drivers Perform ad-hoc financial analysis including scenario planning and investment analysis that aid in decision-making across the enterprise Qualifications Preferred Education & Experience BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics 2-5 years of corporate accounting, reporting & analysis and/or public accounting experience CPA preferred Strong background in finance and accounting Experience with legal entity consolidation and US GAAP reporting Superior knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office suite Proven ability to use Microsoft Excel to analyze data by creating spreadsheets and graphs Budgeting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and/or P&L management experience Comfortable working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g. Power BI) and ERP systems Effective communication and presentation skills Experience in manufacturing with cost accounting knowledge is preferred Candidate must be available to work on-site (minimum 3 days per week hybrid environment) Additional Information PDC Machines is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
