Senior Accountant

Job summary
Caliber is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant to join our team in Scottsdale, AZ. This position is hybrid with in-office work being 3 days per week.Candidates must live in Phoenix-metro.This role is a crucial component to the Caliber group of companies.

Responsibilities
• Oversee month-end close process and manage one to two staff accountants• Prepare and review journal entries• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly general ledger account reconciliations and analysis• Research and resolve issues and/or variances in account balances• Manage intercompany balances for 30+ entities• Maintain fixed asset additions, depreciation, and disposals within the system• Review and approve invoices, ensuring that general ledger coding is correct• Manage corporate banking including processing corporate payments, investor distributions, deposits, transfers, etc.• Prepare and review monthly financial packages• Support GL upgrades, improvements, and implementations• Work with the financial reporting team and external auditors to provide support for interim and year-end audit requirements• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting• CPA certification or CPA eligibility preferred• Public accounting experience is preferred• Minimum 3 - 5 years of work experience• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience• Strong understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Key Skills Needed
• Experience with using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlooks• Experience with using Sage Intacct or other ERP system is a plus• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills• Versatility, hard-working & capable of handling several moving parts/tasks at one time
