The Senior Accountant is a full-time Accounting position which requires a combination of education and professional experience to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of accounting tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Responsible for day- to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis
• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain and report on fixed assets
• Produce monthly financial statements
• Prepare sales and marketing financial analysis
• Perform accounting research and determine correct application
• Identify, suggest, and implement process improvements
• Maintain a written manual of procedures for area of responsibility
• Support interim and annual financial statement audits
• Research discrepancies and recommend resolutions
• Perform any other duties or responsibilities as requested by Manager
• Working knowledge of GAAP and multi state tax laws
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor Degree in Accounting required
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting/analysis role
• Experience in a manufacturing industry
• Understanding of internal controls and accrual accounting
• Customer service skills, written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, ability to work with a team, critical thinking, organizational skills, computer skills appropriate to the position, sense of urgency
• Microsoft Office products experience (Excel, Outlook, Word primarily), with an emphasis on Excel proficiency
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver assignments on time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to exhibit poise, composure and confidence when confronting stressful or high-pressure situations
• Personally exhibits a strong commitment to dependability and reliability with the ability to gain the confidence and respect of the customer base
• Hands on, self-starting, disciplined, and detail oriented individual with ability to work independently in a high volume environment that requires a work product that is highly accurate and timely

COMPUTER SKILLS: • Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook
• ERP experience a plus, preference to Epicor, Sage Fixed Assets and Avalara Avatax and Certcapture.
WORKING CONDITIONS: • Physical Demand(s): Can lift up to 10lbs, sitting and stand for reasonable periods of time
• Visual Demand(s): Ability to look at a computer monitor for reasonable periods of time.
