As an integral part of the General Accounting team, you will work on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis. Your work will have a direct impact on the financial success of the company.
Key Responsibilities Perform relevant work as part of the Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS) Team responsible for external reporting to the Department of Energy (DOE) to include, monthly cost submission, preparing various internal and external reports, and preparing financial statements. Perform account reconciliations and analysis. Lead or assist with special projects as assigned. Learn Relocation reimbursement processing and perform weekly reviews and back-up duties as needed. Learn Property and Inventory responsibilities to perform back-up duties as needed. Perform other back-up duties as assigned. Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions. Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or other business-related field and at least 5 years' of professional level experience, which has provided a broad practical knowledge, preferably related to a government contractor environment, or equivalent training and experience.
Experience in performing general ledger and subsidiary ledger account reconciliations. Strong analytical skills Strong verbal and writing communication skills to interact with various levels of MSTS staff and management, auditors, and DOE entity personnel on a regular basis. The primary work location will be at the Losee Road facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change.) Pre-Placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing. Must possess a valid driver's license. Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ' Identity, Credential, and Access Management ,' and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ' Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors .'

Annual salary range for this position is: $77,001.60 - $115,502.40.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
