Forsyth Barnes have partnered with a leading provider of reverse logistics. Due to significant growth over the last 12 months the business is looking for additional support in their finance team to start on a contract basis, with the view to go permanent. As the Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
Analyze financial data and trends, identifying opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and process improvements.
Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing documentation and support as needed.
Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department, implementing solutions to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
Strong experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
Experience working for public limited company
Experience working with auditors
Experience working in a high volume and transactional environment such as retail, manufacturing, logistics etc
