Rapiscan, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a Sr Accountant, based out of Billerica, MA. We offer lots of growth opportunties from within!!

The Senior Accountant will possess significant accounting experience and outstanding reconciliation and analysis skills. The Senior Accountant is a key contributor to the monthly close process, handling a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. It will be critical to this individual's success that he/she be a versatile team member with the ability to reconcile and analyze complex accounts in an expeditious manner.

Responsibilities

Key contributor to the monthly close process to ensure an accurate and timely close.
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations that range in complexity.
Review and document complex sales contracts to ensure revenue recognition compliance with GAAP.
Maintain fixed asset sub ledger
Reconcile intercompany balances with internal financial colleagues
Assist in the preparation and distribution of monthly internal reports on a timely basis.
Assist in year-end audit and quarterly reviews by preparing schedules and any other necessary data.
Work with shared-services accounting to ensure AP transactions are properly posted and AP ledger is closed monthly.
Participate in all financial and internal control compliance audits to ensure a strong SOX-compliant control environment.
Support Director & Controller, Finance with special projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or commensurate experience
At least 5 years of accounting experience
Understanding of GAAP and basic accounting concepts.
Strong accounting background including thorough knowledge of revenue recognition principles, manufacturing/standard costing and project accounting.
Ability to multitask and perform against challenging deadlines.
Strong communication skills.
Outstanding reconciliation and analytical skills.
Strong Excel user with a high level of proficiency in other MS Office products required.
Experience with Microsoft D365, Hyperion, HFM and FDM are desired but not required.
Must organize/ prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects and function effectively as a small team member.
