The Senior Accountant is responsible for providing senior level accountant services with an emphasis on accounts receivable, including general ledger account reconciliations, analysis of accounting data and assistance with preparation of monthly financial statements.
Specific responsibilities include:
Oversees billings process, including setup, preparation and adjustments to automated billings. Processes change orders and perform analysis as needed. Reconciles accounts receivable to the general ledger on a monthly basis. Analyzes accounts receivable aging report monthly. Prepares general ledger journal entries as required. Assists with monthly financial statement close process. Enhances accounting controls by recommending policies and procedures. Communicates effectively and professionally with all levels of staff. This position is Full-Time, Exempt and reports to the Controller.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5 - 10 years' experience as an accountant for medium - large sized corporation. Must have experience in billings. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel. Advanced analytical problem-solving ability. Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors. Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary. Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
Experience in the construction industry or for a contractor. Travel Requirements
