Professional Search Group (PSG) is seeking a Senior Accountant for their client in medical devices industry company in South Orange County, CA. The Senior Accountant role reports to the Controller for daily supervision, and interacts and functions cooperatively with all departments, and all levels of the organization. The Senior Accountant will perform the overall accounting and processes related to functions described below. This person will actively support implementation of processes, policies, and documentation, including active participation in the implementation and maintenance of a new ERP system. This individual will have a strong role in preparation of internal financial and analytical reports. Senior Accountant Responsibilities: Prepare all journal entries and perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations. Prepare and submit timely monthly financial reporting packages in accordance with GAAP (includes consolidating international and domestic subsidiaries) Works collaboratively with the finance team, supply chain, and operations Prepare schedules as needed (clinical study accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc.) Prepare annual business property, periodic use tax filings, workers comp audit. Audit expense reports: ensure the appropriate documentation supports expenditures. Prepare monthly inventory turn and reserves analysis, including proposed adjustment entries. Provide fluctuation analysis explanations for various components of worldwide gross margins for both domestic operations and foreign subsidiaries Understand and are able to apply manufacturing accounting Senior Accountant Qualifications :
BA/BS degree in Accounting Minimum 3+ years of solid accounting experience in a manufacturing environment CPA, MBA is not a requirement, but is a definite plus. Strong accounting technical skills and ability to work with multi-currencies. Advanced MS Excel skills, including large ERP software used in manufacturing industry.
