Senior Accountant Consultant

Seeking experienced Senior Accountant Consultants for clients in the Northeast Oakland County, MI area to be engaged on an interim basis
As a Senior Accountant consultant, specific role(s) with clients and position responsibilities will vary from engagement to engagement
For individuals with correlating experience, please reply to this Senior Accountant consultant posting Responsibilities May Include: Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable Reconciling account balances and bank statements Maintaining the general ledger including journal entries, accruals and completing month-end close Analyze financial information and summarize financial status Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures Assist in budget and forecast preparation Support preparation of financial statements Assisting in budget preparation May support documentation of processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Ensure compliance with GAAP principles Requirements and skills Minimum 5+ progressive years accounting and/or finance experience In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables BS degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
