About the Role:
As a Semiconductor Subject Matter Expert supporting our Federal government client, you will be trusted to provide high-level advice and leadership for contract goals and related technology initiatives with responsibilities spanning: R&D strategy; technical and programmatic guidance; policy implementation; and business analysis. 
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  
Serve as a technical expert in emerging technologies used across the semiconductor supply chain (chip design, fabrication, testing/validation, packaging, and/or final assembly), providing specific technical and/or functional guidance Develop assessment criteria and evaluate the technical merit and market viability of stakeholder proposals for federal funding opportunities supporting semiconductor manufacturing technology innovations. Perform analyses and studies; develop reports and present technical guidance and feedback on key semiconductor technologies to management, client researchers, and stakeholders Contribute technical expertise to the development of summary reports and presentations describing research progress and stakeholder engagement activities Contribution at reviews, site visits, demos, project objectives, etc.  Oversee requirements gathering and documentation Work with the client to relay progress and confirm or establish priorities Support planning, preparing and implementing policies and strategies for technology commercialization Advise on the commercial market, strategy, business planning, intellectual property, product development, supply chain considerations and developing market studies Perform technology economic analysis to inform new programs targeting public and private follow-on funding sources Perform economic impact assessments of funded initiatives and facilitate and organize commercialization workshops and mentorship programs Support investment fund, business analysis, and business landscape assessment Produce and/or review substantive and/or complex technical documentation reflecting detailed knowledge of technical areas as identified in the statement of work Maintain awareness of emerging technology, policy, and business trends affecting the electrical engineering, telecommunications, and computing research and development industry.  Carry out our Commitments to Deliver, Grow, and Thrive Location:
You will work as part of a dynamic team in the National Capital Region. Occasional travel may be required.
Required Experience/Skills: 
Bachelor's degree Minimum of 10+ years of experience Experience working on complex technical projects Demonstrated expertise related to semiconductor materials and substrates, equipment and tools, power delivery and thermal management, photonics, chiplets, system co-design, and/or electronic design automation (EDA) for packaging. Demonstrated expertise in and knowledge of scientific and technical concepts relevant to electrical engineering, telecommunications, and computing research and development activities Strong track record of applying critical thinking, domain knowledge, and functional expertise to conduct strategic planning, perform analysis, communicate effectively, and work seamlessly across different functional areas within an R&D context.  Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability Preferred Experience/Skills:
Familiarity with the goals, objectives, technical requirements, and processes supporting federal funding opportunities Relevant experience providing technical subject matter expert services for federal R&D organization(s) Don't think you have everything for this role but are still very interested?
