As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be an integral part of our client's electrical engineering department, which happens to be one of the largest in the industry. With a growing demand for engineering support in various market sectors, this firm is at the forefront of innovation and design. Specializing in Industrial and Commercial Lighting Design and Modeling, Industrial Control Systems Design (including PLC-based Control, HMI Interface, and Motor Control Systems), Electrical System Modeling for Short Circuit Analysis, Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and Protective Device Coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and design electrical systems for industrial and commercial projects
- Conduct detailed calculations to ensure system adequacy and compliance with regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continuously improve designs and processes Essential Job Functions:
- Design electrical systems using AutoCAD or similar software
- Perform load calculations and power distribution analysis
- Conduct field visits to assess the implementation and performance of electrical systems
- Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success
Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in an Accredited Electrical Engineering Program
- Minimum ten (10) years of electrical engineering design experience, preferably at a design consulting firm
- Professional Engineering License in the state of Michigan preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) software
