These systems and components include cctv or ip cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platforms.??In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also act as a mentor, providing on-the-job training to less experienced technicians, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing within our team.?Why is this so important?Our Security Service Technicians are the face of Siemens,and your expertise and regular interaction with the customer will help keep their building inhabitants safe.As a?Security Service Technician, you will:Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needsSwiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or materialIdentify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standardsQuote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projectsPlan work with mentor, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectivelyYou will make an impact with these qualifications:Basic Qualifications:?3+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systemsUnderstanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management, IP addressing and subnetting, IP video network transmission and factors that impact video rates and quality. and basic switch, router, and firewall principlesBe able to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment,working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 poundsunassistedLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipMust be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations?Preferred Qualifications:?High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred5+ years' experience in the installation and/or maintenance of large-scale integrated security systemsAbility to read/understand design and construction documentsYou'll benefitfrom:Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees.
