Security Officer (Graveyard Shift)

The Ahern Hotel and Convention Center is looking for a graveyard shift Security Officer to join our team! The Ahern Hotel and Convention Center depend on our Security staff to protect company assets and provide a safe environment for employees and guests.
Qualifications for Security Officer: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to pass a background check. Valid security guard license in the state of employment. Previous security-related work experience preferred. Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations. Proficient written and oral communication skills. Comfortable kneeling, carrying, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods of time. Working knowledge of basic security techniques. Able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies. Able to assist law enforcement authorities, including possible testimony in court and/or civil/criminal proceedings. AED and CPR certified. Responsibilities for Security Officer include but not limited to: Provide direction and assistance to all internal employees and customer service to all guests under the departmental policy and procedure. Patrol all areas of the property. Experience with CCTV surveillance cameras. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and typing. Interview, gather information, investigate, and document incidents in a report form that occur on the property. Enforce all company policies and procedures. Ahern Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel and event venue in Las Vegas, Nevada. Acquired in 2019, it is located near the Las Vegas Strip.
