The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) mission is to inspire curiosity through engaging science learning experiences, foster experimentation and the exchange of ideas, and stimulate informed action. Join our team as a Security Officer and be a part of igniting an education transformation at the intersection of science and technology that spreads opportunities across the Northwest! Security Officers are responsible for the safety and well-being of employees, volunteers, and visitors. In their role, security officers will respond to various types of emergencies such as first aid, lockdowns, missing persons, fire alarms, and more. They also play an integral role in the guest experience and contribute by ensuring parking lot signage is in place, responding to customer questions, and ensuring the property is ready for opening.
Position is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:
2 weeks of vacation per year with no waiting period. Hours carry over year to year up to 200 hours. 2 weeks of sick time per year with no waiting period.
