Summary/Objective The objective of the Secondary Administrative Assistant position is to assist the Secondary Headmaster, Director of Athletics and Dean of Students. This position must agree with and support the Faculty/Board Member's Covenant Statement of Marriage and Sexuality and agree with/help fulfill CHA's Mission Statement.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities and Tasks) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Answer phone for Secondary office. Take messages for the Athletic Director and teachers.
Greet students, parents, and visitors as they come into secondary office.
Enter into FACTS and keep track of Discipline Referrals, Irresponsibility Referrals, Gum Fines, Hair Check Notices, Tardies, and Detentions.
Gather and track end-of-year obligations.
Prepare the duty schedule and lunch schedule.
Assign lockers to all Secondary students prior to the beginning of the school year.
Filing of papers in cumulative folders.
Scheduling of parent-teacher conferences for conference day.
Substitute coverage.
Taking care of teacher coverage for classes when a substitute is not required.
End of year Teacher Check-Out.
Compile list of student vehicles.
Call students out of class for the Dean of Men, Dean of Women, Guidance Counselor, and Mr. Clay.
Make daily announcements on the intercom system.
Keep track of study hall students.
Set the bells to ring daily.
Attends staff meetings, committee meetings, and all other meetings that are required

Work Environment This job operates in a professional school environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, 10-month salary position, payable on a 12-month pay schedule. Days and hours are M - F from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Any summer hours required will be paid on an hourly basis.
Performance Standards Completing tasks well and in a timely manner (before or at due date), while representing Christian Heritage Academy in a way that is glorifying to Christ.

Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The school is currently a multi-level facility, which requires this position to navigate flights of stairs regularly to meet responsibilities as it relates to the school.
Talking - must be able to express ideas and speak clearly and orally in person or over the phone to parents, students and/or other employees.
Hearing ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction and to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Close visual acuity required for viewing a computer monitor, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and reading.
Standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time, moving about on foot for lecturing and monitoring students in the classroom, as well as throughout the building.
Regularly sitting at the computer requiring dexterity of hands and fingers.
Occasional lifting of at least 25 pounds.
Environment is primarily indoors in a classroom environment.
