Seasonal Receiving Assistant

Fort Collins Nursery is looking for a Seasonal Receiving Assistant to join our team! Employees in this position will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the business by receiving incoming shipments and ensuring retail spaces are adequately stocked with product. If you like being physically active and have an attention to detail, this is a great opportunity! We are currently hiring for two full-time positions; our season typically runs from date of hire through mid-July.
Responsibilities: Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Verify and record quantities and items received, and ensure product meet quality standards. Unload, organize, and stock inventory in storage facilities. Work with various retail staff to monitor stock levels and restock product as required. Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while handling and storing merchandise. Assist with pricing, display setup, and customer service as needed while in retail areas. Support general retail operations as needed. Qualifications: Ability to accurately sort, count and verify items received. Quick learner with attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure flow of product. Forklift certification preferred; willingness to learn how to safely operate forklift required. General understanding of warehouse safety regulations preferred but not required. Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly (with assistance). Position will spend majority of shift on feet in a variety of weather conditions while communicating with customers.
