Port of Anacortes of Anacortes, WA is seeking to hire two full-time Seasonal Marina Customer Service Representatives to provide outstanding, friendly customer service to our guests and tenants so that each and every person wants to come back to the Cap Sante Marina again. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MARINA CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE As a Marina Customer Service Representative, you are in the center of the action at the bustling Cap Sante Marina at the Port's Harbormaster's Office. You will be doing the full range of administrative operations, including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, taking payments, ensuring customers' information remains secure, managing guest reservations, and much more! Your focus on accuracy and efficiency will keep things moving smoothly in this fast-paced environment.
Most importantly, you provide outstanding friendly customer service to all port guests and tenants. You answer, respond to, and manage customer requests and inquiries in person, over a VHF radio, via email, and on the phone. By educating customers, you are able to ensure compliance with established port and marina best management practices, rules, and regulations.
You enjoy helping people find what they need in our amazing community and ensuring they enjoy their recreation time. Each day brings a new adventure in this customer service/hospitality position!
QUALIFICATIONS 18 years old or older 1 year of experience in a retail or hospitality-related field Intermediate-level computer skills Ability to maintain a valid Washington state driver's license Ability to meet the physical demands of this position Ability to pass a driving and background checks upon hire Strong customer service skills Are you a team player that can work independently? Do you present yourself professionally? Can you manage your stress and maintain composure in challenging situations? Do you like to focus on the details? Are you a customer service rockstar? Do you have strong communication skills? Are you able to multitask? If so, you may be perfect for this position!
WORK SCHEDULE Seasonal Marina Customer Service Representatives work five shifts each week between 7:45 am-6:15 pm. Holiday premium pay will apply for holidays worked.
SEASONAL STAFF BONUS PROGRAM Seasonal employees that work 440+ hours in the peak season (April-October) will be eligible for a $1,000 end-of-season bonus paid on their last paycheck, a $2,500 tuition stipend paid directly to an accredited college, university, academy, or trade school, or a $3,000 tuition stipend for a maritime-related program paid directly to an accredited college, university, academy, or trade school.
