Responsibilities
• Operate light equipment such as tractors and snow plows• Maintain equipment and vehicles• Use hand construction and maintenance tools• Perform routine duties like clearing trails and mowing• Operate equipment for grounds maintenance• Assist in supervision of inmate crews• Perform janitorial, wash rack functions, and warehouse operations• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Valid high school diploma or GED, or 1 year of work experience• Valid Driver's license• Working knowledge and skill in operating light and heavy equipment• Must complete IDOC Inter-Agency Supervision of Out-Custody Work Crew Training• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
