Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSIncumbent must have the skills, ability and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:Assists in the collection of assessment data, such as vital signs and intake/output. Subjective and objective data are reported SDS/OR Nurse.Provides care that meets the patient's activities of daily living, such as bathing, feeding, repositioning, and ambulating, for patients of all ages.Collects laboratory specimens and answers call lights.Creates and maintains a comfortable and safe environment for patients, families, and visitors.Organizes and maintains the patient record.Notifies personnel as delegated by SDS/OR Nurse.Answers telephones, call lights, and refers them to the appropriate personnel.Transports patients and/or families to and from the SDS Unit.Will float/assist in OR/Scope and PACU as scheduled.Maintains clerical and patient care supplies on the SDS Unit.Complies with PMHC Code of Conduct.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
