This is a grant funded position.Primary role as a researcher in the lab.Managing the chemical inventory of the NCWR.

Responsibilities
• Conduct experiments and record data in the lab.• Manage the chemical inventory of the NCWR.• Possess knowledge and ability in both in vitro and in vivo techniques relevant to drug discovery research.• Follow established experimental procedures and operate laboratory equipment.• Help develop new protocols and assist in training other lab staff.• Contribute to productivity of the department and/or team.• Gather and analyze data from scientific literature.• Manage research chemical inventory, including record-keeping and ordering reference chemicals.• Assure proper training and record-keeping for DEA controlled substances.• Prepare SOPs and participate in DEA inspections.
Requirements
• Bachelors in a field related to biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, or related field, or equivalent experience.• 2 years of post-Bachelors experience in academic, industrial, or related field with sustained productivity.• Conducted and published novel results from their own research activities.• Experience developing project goals that are measurable and time-bound.• Track-record of collaboration and mentoring.• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.• Ability to work independently and self-motivated.• Attention to detail and entrepreneurial mindset.• Ability to work with young researchers as a mentor.• Preferred experience working with Excel and chemical inventory control and record keeping related to controlled substances.• Self-motivated to continuously learn about their area of specialty and other disciplines.
