Plans and prepares blending and production schedules for manufacture and packaging of juice products.
Responsibilites and Duties: Designs master schedule for three shifts to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, equipment, and human resource requirements for maximum efficiency. Plans and schedules workflow for each machine center and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. Plans sequence of manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers. Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Prepares production reports. Coordinates with Maintenance to ensure routine equipment preventative maintenance is performed. Prepares inter-Company purchase orders to obtain materials. Confers with management and production personnel on sanitation problems, and recommends changes in equipment, plant layout, lighting, ventilation, or work practices to improve sanitation standards and purity of product. Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises employees in the Planning Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
