This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all sanitation activities within our manufacturing facilities and administration buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety regulations, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic production environment.
Main aspects of the role include: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Supervise and lead a team of sanitation staff including sanitation lead, laundry operators and custodians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Ensure that all sanitation processes and procedures align with the requirements of relevant regulatory agencies. Maintain accurate and organized sanitation records, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and corrective action documentation. Train new sanitation employees on proper cleaning techniques, chemical usage, safety protocols, and company policies. Manage the inventory, storage, and usage of cleaning chemicals in a safe and compliant manner. Identify opportunities for process improvements in sanitation practices and contribute to the development of new cleaning protocols. You! This position is available for current OFD employees only. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field is preferred. In addition, experience in a supervisory role in food manufacturing setting is required, with a strong background in sanitation practices. This candidate should have in depth knowledge of food safety regulations (ex: FDA, USDA, etc). The individual should have strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. This position does require the ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
