This role will helpbuild the infrastructure to make data a central part of iCapital. Data driven decisions are very critical for iCapital, as a result, we are looking foran Engineerthat will be able to use the dataandunderstand ittohelp make actionable decisions.The ideal candidate canquickly grasp complex and fluid business problems and solve them with robust and creative analyses after having builthighlyperformantand scalable infrastructure to warehouse the data. ResponsibilitiesLeverage open-source technologies and cloud solutions to build elegant features that iCapital platform users love.Develop and automate large scale, high-performance data platform infrastructure to drive iCapital business growth and enable data-driven organization.Design and develop reusable components and frameworks for ingestion, cleansing, and data quality.Streamline the ingestion of raw data from various sources into our Data Lake and Data Warehouse.Design data models for optimal storage and retrieval that represent the product entities and meet business requirements.Design and develop in Salesforce and Apex to automate processes and meet a variety of business needs.Coordinate closely with sales and product development teams daily to push iCapital's FinTech strategy and improve the overall profitability of our business.QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics or other quantitative area or related field6 years of experience with open-source technologies or object-oriented/functional programming, strong ability to write easy-to-scale, and high-quality codeExperience in at least one numeric research framework (python/pandas, R/Splus, Octave/Matlab)Familiar with OLAP (Redshift, Snowflake) and OLTP (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) databasesFamiliar with various database designs (Relational, Columnar, NoSQL)Experience with Salesforce development, Apex, and working with Apex classes, batching, bulk processing, triggers, events and event buses, and writing test classesExperience using probability/statisticsDetail-oriented, able to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environmentAble to work independently while also being a strong team playerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPassionate about programming and cutting-edge technologiesMaster's in computer science, data science, or related field is preferredProfessional experience with Python and JVM based languages such as Scala, Java, and Kotlin is preferredExperience building data-pipelines, data-lakes and data warehouses is preferredGood knowledge of financial markets and financial instruments is preferredExperience with AWS solutions such as Lambda, S3, Kinesis, ElastiCache is preferredFamiliar with AWS and infrastructure-as-code (terraform or cloud formation) is preferredExperience with Salesforce and Apex development in processing large data sets is preferredFamiliar with the use and restrictions of PII data for analysis, research, development, and testing is preferredFull-time or internship experience as a data engineer in the financial technology industry is a plusBenefitsThe base salary range for this role is $120000 to $150000.? iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
