We're recruiting an experienced S ales Representative to support GOOD DAY DISTRO , Groundworks' wholesale team, with a primary focus on the Pruf Cultivar brand. Pruf Cultivar is a small group of craft growers, dedicated to developing premium quality cannabis selections. Pruf Cultivar products are sustainably grown and 100% organic with locally sourced inputs in reusable living soil. From clones to finished goods, everything is hand grown, hand trimmed and hand packaged with care. A trusted brand for top tier indoor flower in Oregon for over 7 years, Pruf Cultivar puts tremendous effort into aligning our cultivation and product with our inherent cannabis consumption values.
The person in this position will also be responsible for collecting payment, providing marketing support, and working with the management team to optimize production schedule, pricing, and product allocation.
Ideal candidates will have experience representing high end indoor flower within the cannabis industry, conducting flower showings, providing product information, and ultimately closing the sale .
Informed by a 'Balanced Scorecard' approach - equally emphasizing People, Process/Technology, Customer and Finance - the Brand Ambassador is a key juncture between the customer and GW . This is accomplished by way of a respectful, constructive, and energetic style guided by Groundworks' core values and long-range objectives .
Essential Functions People Generate new leads and convert those leads into sales and ongoing relationships. Effectively and efficiently communicates with peers and management team to solve problems. Positively collaborates with coworkers, celebrating success and overcoming opportunities. Contributes to optimistic and supportive team environment in a way that elevates morale, sharing concerns with management team when needed Actively works to create cultural buy-in amongst their team, and champion organizational goals and initiatives Process/Technology Compile and report back feedback from events to broader wholesale team and appropriate stakeholders Maintain excellent product knowledge of cannabis products including pricing, product differentiators and production methods Deliver product and samples to customers as needed Ensure cross-functional team members are aware of current promotions and promotional priorities Track promotional outcomes and report back on metrics as requested Customer Support all organizational goals to deliver exemplary customer service. Foster a collaborative spirit that allows for excellent cross-functional work and results Attend various marketing events and represent the GW brands professionally Support promotional opportunities and brand partnerships as needed Provide education to budtenders and customers around products and the GW selling philosophy , continually providing training tools and tips Develop and lead in-person and virtual trainings that effectively create buy-in and understanding of the GW product family Track customer communication as requested Finance Continually seek efficiency gains and cost-savings across designated function Enhance business performance by educating customers on promotional opportunities and continually providing consultative sales Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Readiness to interface with the public , in a customer-facing capacity Demonstrated knowledge of cannabis industry and products Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills Proven track record for meeting sales in quota in a broad, diverse, and complex market Ability to establish and cultivate strong internal and partner-focused relationships and work seamlessly with minimal field support Energetic, extremely results-driven, and customer-focused Ability to build and cultivate superior relationships with internal and 3 rd party dispensaries Readiness to travel 80% of the time Accountability for achieving and preferably exceeding sales targets Very strong verbal and written communication proficiency ; English literacy . Adaptability and tolerance to fast-paced business growth. Comfort with typical business computing and technology; proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Hold a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for commuting among locations within assigned region. Hold a valid Marijuana's Handlers Permit where required Cannabis experience and knowledge is required Must be and remain compliant with all legal and company regulations required for working in the cannabis space. Must be 21 years of age or older. Have interest in the cannabis industry and be culturally aligned with Groundworks' mission. Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years of cannabis related sales experience. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, sit, and kneel daily in retail and production environments that include concrete or other hard-surface floors and, in some instances, staircases Ability to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily Ability to maintain focus and memory in environments with distractions such as heavy foot traffic, background noise due to public conversations and the gathering of people, etc. Absent conditions that would prevent the occasional use of PPE such as safety glasses, masks, etc. Ability to sit at a desk and work at a computer for several continuous hours At this point, we hope you're feeling excited about the job description you're reading.
