What You Will Be Doing: The Territory Sales Manager at Viably embodies qualities of intelligence, independence, organization, and self-motivation. Collaborating closely with the regional Director of Operations, they undertake the development, execution, management, and reporting of ongoing sales and customer support initiatives within the Northeast United States. Profoundly versed in the Viably product portfolio, customer applications, and waste and recycling markets, they adopt a consultative approach to guide clients through their challenges and unveil new opportunities. Their dedication to customer success is palpable, as they prioritize delivering top-notch sales service while maintaining a profitable and efficient sales pipeline. Possessing a thorough grasp of the B2B/capital expenditure sales process, they communicate clearly and professionally, leveraging sales enablement tools such as Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office products with efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities Look Like: Manage multi-state assignments and responsibilities for many products and customers. Partner closely with Viably' s existing sales team to maximize sales and promote market expansion. Increase sales to end-users, emphasizing technical advantages over competitor products. Facilitate stationary equipment sales while working closely with sales engineers and project managers. Develop strategies and tactical plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for the region. Analyze market data to identify new or expanded areas of business opportunity. Provide first-line product and customer support to become the main liaison between Viably and customers. Work with existing customers to enable ongoing preventative maintenance inspections and equipment training. Utilize Salesforce CRM and other software tools to streamline the sales process, enable accurate reporting, and improve customer support. Supply ongoing technical information and advice on Viably's product portfolio to customers. Provide machine demonstrations, setups, and customer training on Viably's line of equipment and components across various applications to support sales. Effectively communicate customer needs, activities, opportunities, market needs, and other relevant information to the regional Director of Operations and team on a consistent basis. Prepare and conduct promotional and marketing activities to support sales and customer support efforts. Extensive travel through the Northeastern U.S. Critical Skills and Experience You'll Need: Bachelor's Degree in Business from an accredited institution is preferred. Energetic, highly motivated personality and organized team player able to easily form professional relationships. Formal sales training is preferred. Computer skills required. Hands-on technical aptitude preferred Able to develop, a thorough knowledge and understanding of the applications of Komptech products. Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently convey information to both technically trained and non-technical customers. Professional presentation skills suited to present Komptech solutions and product differentiation effectively at various customer organizational levels. High-level interpersonal skills sufficient to guide and negotiate with potential customers toward recommended product solutions. Self-motivated, self-directed, and self-managed with excellent organizational and time management skills to perform productively with minimal supervision. Experience with a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM), preferably Salesforce.com. Inherent perseverance to consistently engage and follow up with open leads to convert and close them into won sales opportunities. Demonstrated achievement in sales, business development or product management. Ability to research and absorb new, unfamiliar industry and product information with the ability to convert it verbally and visually into effective sales information or presentations that engage customers in our brand voice. Physical Demand & Competencies: Standing, walking, talking, sitting, and use of hands.
