Bigfoot Staffing is excited to share this direct hire opportunity. This position offers a base salary between $60,000 - $70,000 in addition to lucrative commission structure and a competitive benefits package.
Our client is seeking a motivated individual, who is focused on customer service to profitably deliver their solutions in Oregon. The Sales Consultant will focus on corporate sales and distribution strategies primarily, but not limited to, the secondary education market. Our goal is to penetrate competitively held and targeted accounts by building new relationships with decision makers as well as selling the company's products and services to established customers and protect existing business while increasing market share.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Use consultative selling skills to discover, diagnose, and solidify the needs of the customer, propose and deliver world-class solutions
- Penetrate specific target accounts by initiating contact with customer to develop, cultivate and establish productive, collaborative relationships with decision-makers
- Establish, communicate, and implement account strategies and action plans
- Achieve sales/service volume and margin targets for new and existing customers
- Develop and maintain relationships with Architecture and Design (A&D) community
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High level of presentation and consultative selling skills with strong customer focus
- Ability to present a professional image and gain a high level of confidence from many customers
- Assertive, self-confident, self-starter and ability to work and contribute in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written skills which include excellent interpersonal skills with strong emphasis on listening skills
- Sense of urgency, high level of energy and tenacity with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while managing multiple accounts
- Willingness to develop both short-and long-term business with experience in penetrating and selling to long-term competitively held accounts
- Desire and ability to learn (intentional learner) coupled with strong organizational skills
- Thorough knowledge of all commercial furniture products and company's service offerings
- Demonstrated prospecting, qualifying, networking, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated high standard of performance and results-oriented (i.e., holding oneself accountable for results)
- Actively seeks opportunities, calculates risk, commits to action
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation/communication software and tools
- Demonstrated high level of integrity and business ethics
Minimum Qualifications
Education: 4-year degree in Business or equivalent preferred
Experience: 4 years successful sales
Must be self-motivated, able to work independently and as a member of a team. Work is primarily establishing and maintaining positive, production relationships with internal and external customers, sometimes under stressful conditions.
Travel Requirements: Work is split between office environment requiring ability to see and hear and communicate as well as frequent travel involving operation of a personal motor vehicle. May require occasionally lifting to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions: Work is performed remotely, using variety of communication devices, as well as at client worksite.
