Full job description Wind River Outdoor Company (WROC) is a specialty outdoor retailer/outfitter located in Lander, WY at the base of the magnificent Wind River Mountain Range. With over 9000 sq feet of modern retail space and a robust ecommerce platform, WROC specializes in providing outdoor adventurers with the finest fly fishing, firearms/hunting, backpacking, camping, apparel and footwear available.
Currently, WROC is seeking a dynamic who appreciates the outdoor lifestyle, working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys outfitting customers for great adventures both in Wyoming and beyond.
This position will work in conjunction with the Retail Sales Team to:
? Demonstrate the core values of WROC in all that we do to promote an enjoyable and rewarding work environment
· Provide World Class Customer Service to all customers
· Handling merchandise with care and attention to detail.
· Providing information, assistance, and direction to customers regarding firearms and shooting merchandise including optics, ammunition, suppressors and accessories.
· Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to firearm sales; including background checks and accurately use electronic tracking software.
· Demonstrating products to customers effectively and meet department sales goals.
· Organizing and maintaining merchandise within the retail store for sales at the gun counter, including replenishing products on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines, while maintaining accurate inventory.
· Remaining knowledgeable about advertised sales, maintaining pricing and signage.
· Keeping work area clean, neat, and well-stocked with supplies.
· Continuing learning through ongoing product knowledge training to enhance expertise.
· Mount optics, accessories, and perform requested modifications as needed.
· Locate, order and track customer Special Orders from various suppliers

· Previous retail experience, preferably in a firearms or sporting goods environment.
· knowledge of firearms, shooting, scopes, ammo, silencers, reloading, and accessories required
· Hunting experience preferred
· Excellent customer service and communication skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
· Must be able to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to firearm sales.
· Must be 21 years of age and able to pass a background check.
· Moderate Computer experience (Excel, word, email, internet)
· Personal Drive and Motivation to Succeed and Excel in a fast-paced work environment
