Safety Manager

Details of the offer

Penta Search Group has been engaged by one of our Global Consumer Goods clients to identify a Safety Manager for their manufacturing facility in West Palm Beach, FL.

Some key responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and lead the plant's environmental, health, and safety management systems and activities
Plan and control budgeted EHS expenditures
Own and manage the plant safety audit system, ensuring they are performed as scheduled and data is captured, monitored and used to drive improvements
Develop and maintain EHS-related site-specific written programs/policies/procedures (such as Lockout-Tagout, Confined Space Entry, Mobile Equipment, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, etc.).
Effectively manage all EHS-related cases, including injury care, incident investigation, corrective actions, documentation, and reporting to internal/external parties as appropriate for the plant
Supervise the maintenance of all material safety data sheets (MSDS's) to ensure they are always up-to-date and readily accessible.

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental science, engineering, or another related field.
5+ years working experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in conducting incident investigation, hazard analysis/assessments, and problem solving.
Good working knowledge of regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA fire codes, ANSI standards, etc.).
Ensure that all required reports are submitted to Corporate EHS and government agencies, as needed (EPA, OSHA, etc.)
Board certified ASP, OHST, CSP, QEP, CIH or other recognized certification/diplomas.
