This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety compliance, safety training and for bringing about a safety first culture for all quarries and paving operations.
Responsibilities:
-Serves as the quarries and paving operations Safety Representative ensuring adherence to, observing and complying with all MSHA/OSHA guidelines and applicable federal, state, local regulations.
-Report injuries to MSHA, OSHA, and Worker?s Compensation Insurance provider timely.
-Maintain OSHA Logs for all sites and file annually.
-Oversees all written safety programs and emergency response plan.
-Conducts and documents fire, severe weather, bomb and active shooter threats, chemical spills and all other emergency drills for evacuations.
-Must work and design safety into company culture.
-Maintain current Safety Policy Procedures and Handbooks.
-Observe working conditions, equipment and team member?s behaviors to identify safety problems and then take the appropriate action to correct.
-Perform investigations and provide reporting on any safety accidents along with corrective action.
-Ensure work performed by outside contractors and subcontractors meet our guidelines and MSHA standards.
-Communicates well with others and strive to maintain positive relationships with members of our team.
-Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned.
-Develop agenda in coordination with Managers and HR for annual training for CPR, First Aid.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

4-7 years
Qualifications:
-Minimum of 3 years experience in safety and training at a management level.
-Experienced in behavior training/culture cultivation.

-Be able to analyze situation quickly and provide strategic solutions.
