Job Summary The Safety and Health Manager oversees safety protocols and procedures for our cultural resource projects. The Safety and Health Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards and a commitment to promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Compensation: Chloeta reserves the right to offer any candidate above or below the listed compensation amount based on experience or business needs.
$70,000-$90,000 per year FLSA Exempt Duties/Responsibilities Develop s , maintain s , and oversee s implementation of the Site Safety Health Plan (SSHP) for cultural resource projects. Visit s the projects as needed to audit the effectiveness of the SSHP . Conduct s thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety hazards. Provide s leadership and guidance to project teams on safety-related matters. Ensures all personnel and operations comply with applicable certifications, rules and regulations. Conduct s regular safety inspections and audits to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement. Investigate s accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Develop s and deliver s safety training programs for project personnel. Maintain s accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities. Stay s informed of changes in safety regulations and industry best practices. Remains available for project emergencies . Required Skills/Abilities Proficiency in safety and health principles, practices, and standards is fundamental. This includes knowledge of occupational health risks, safety management systems, emergency response planning, and the ability to conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies. Understanding CRM principles, laws, and practices is crucial. This includes familiarity with legislation such as the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Archaeological Resources Protection Act (ARPA), and other local, state, and federal laws that protect cultural resources. The ability to navigate and ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. This also includes keeping abreast of changes in legislation that may affect project activities. A deep respect for and understanding of cultural diversity and the significance of cultural resources. This includes the ability to work effectively with tribal and indigenous communities, local historians, archaeologists, and other stakeholders in a manner that respects cultural heritage and values. The capacity to quickly identify safety and health issues or conflicts with cultural resource preservation and to develop effective solutions. This requires analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure. Ability to plan, execute, and oversee safety and health plans within the broader context of the project's goals, schedules, and budgets. Ability to develop and deliver safety and health training programs tailored to the unique needs of cultural resource projects. This includes educating project personnel on the importance of safety and the preservation of cultural resources. Familiarity with project management and safety management software, and technology used in monitoring and protecting cultural resources. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field to cultural resources Required: At least five (5) years of working experience in cultural resources Required: Completion of field school in Archaeology or Anthropology Required: Certification as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Health Physicist (CHP) Preferred : At least two (2) years of cultural resources experience in the Great Plains Regions; Oklahoma, Te xas and Kansas Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc. Benefits Eligible employees receive the following benefits:?
