This role involves a combination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, making it essential to have a diverse skill set in order to succeed. You will work in a team-oriented environment to provide top-notch service and maintenance for a wide range of RVs, ensuring the satisfaction and safety of our clients.Role Responsibilities:Inspection and Diagnosis:Conduct thorough inspections of RVs to identify mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural issues.Use diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint problems and determine necessary repairs.Repairs and Maintenance:Perform various repairs and maintenance tasks on RVs, including but not limited to engine repairs, electrical system troubleshooting, plumbing repairs, and interior/exterior carpentry.Replace and repair RV appliances, fixtures, and components, such as air conditioning units, refrigerators, awnings, and more.Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.Installation:Install new RV components and accessories, such as solar panels, generators, and entertainment systems.Safely handle propane systems and install or repair as needed.Customer Communication:Communicate with customers to explain the repair process, provide cost estimates, and obtain necessary approvals.Keep customers informed about the progress of their RV service and address any questions or concerns.Documentation:Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and work performed.Prepare and submit accurate service reports and invoices to customers.Team Collaboration:Collaborate with other RV technicians, service advisors, and parts specialists to ensure efficient operations.Share knowledge and provide assistance to less experienced technicians.Safety and Compliance:Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handling of hazardous materials.Keep up to date with industry regulations and best practices.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in RV repair is a plus.Proven experience as an RV Technician or in a related field.Strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills.Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.Knowledge of RV systems, components, and appliances.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Detail-oriented and organized.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks and lift heavy equipment.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.WHO WE AREBlue Compass RV is the fastest growing RV Company with more than 100+ RV dealerships across the country!
