Job Description:
As a Lead Ruby on Rails Developer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and maintenance of server-side logic for our central database. From designing and developing new web applications to troubleshooting and integrating front-end elements, you'll be at the forefront of our technical endeavors.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop new web applications with Ruby on Rails.
Maintain and troubleshoot existing web applications to ensure optimal performance.
Write clean and reliable Ruby code that adheres to best practices.
Integrate data storage solutions seamlessly into our applications.
Create robust back-end components to support our front-end functionalities.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs to enhance system efficiency.
Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate user-facing elements seamlessly.
Connect applications with additional web servers to expand our reach.
Maintain and optimize APIs to ensure smooth communication between systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Proven experience working with Ruby on Rails, Resque, and RSpec libraries.
Strong proficiency in writing clear and maintainable Ruby code.
Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, GitHub, SVN, and Mercurial.
Experience with front-end frameworks like AngularJS or BackboneJS is a plus.
Understanding of MVC architecture, Mocking, RESTful principles, and ORM concepts.
Knowledge of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
Excellent understanding of server-side templating languages.
Familiarity with testing tools to ensure code quality and reliability.
