Job Description The Durable Slate Company is looking for an experienced, competent Sheet Metal Mechanic. The ideal candidate will have experience in the roofing industry, specifically with slate and copper or sheet metal. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and execution, through completion of roofing projects, ensuring completion is on time, within budget while adhering to the standards of The Durable Way.
Core Requirements 2-years' experience in commercial & residential roofing, preferably in the field of slate and sheet metal roofing Must be willing to travel Must be able to carry 50 lbs. on a regular basis. The Durable Slate Company is a Drug Free workplace, and candidates must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, as well as occasional random screening as needed Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance for base access or other Federal projects Having a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record of 4 points or less is preferred but not required. What we offer Hourly rate negotiable, based on experience. Paid in house and on the job training. Paid safety and OSHA compliance training. Uncapped over time and work through the winter. Health, Vision, Dental Insurance and 401(k) after 90 days. Travel bonuses for perfect attendance, Saturdays worked and days worked out of town. Promotions based on performance, not tenure.
