Roadway Project Engineer
Our client is currently seeking a Roadway Project Engineer for their expanding West Palm Beach office.
The ideal candidate will engage in all phases of transportation projects for both public and private sector clients. These projects encompass horizontal and vertical road alignments, drainage systems, stormwater management, utility relocations, development of traffic maintenance plans, and the preparation of contract documents. Familiarity with Traffic Design (Signalization, Signing-Pavement Marking, Lighting) is advantageous. The successful candidate should be adaptable and proficient with technology. The role requires a diverse skill set and strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley (Open Roads), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Florida PE license preferred, or an EIT on track to obtain FL PE within one to two years. 3-10 years of experience in transportation engineering with FDOT and municipal projects. Ability to meet project budgets and deadlines in a timely manner. Effective communication skills with clients, colleagues, sub-consultants, and county/agency review staff. Capability to compose technical reports, memorandums, and other written communication. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
