Description
To lead the performance improvement of commercial utilization management (UM) processes to ensure optimal financial outcomes across the organization. To establish strategies, tools and interventions to maintain and improve financial goals. To serve as a key resource to utilization management nurses to maintain passing scores on payer audits and prevent denials. To maintain quality review reports on individuals and group performance relative, but not limited to, timeliness of reviews, accuracy of reviews, accuracy of utilization management processes, deficiencies, trends and educational needs.
Pay Range: $67,070.00 - $108,990.00 / Yearly
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a Master's degree in Business Administration or related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
