ESSENTAIL DUTIES: · Conduct an individualized patient assessment, prioritizing the data collection based on patient's immediate condition or needs.
· Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
· Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
· Ability to recognize emergency situations and assist in corrective actions.
· Conduct ongoing assessments as determined by the patient's condition and/or Family Health West's policies, procedures or protocols.
· Develop plan of care that is individualized for the patient reflecting collaboration with members of the healthcare team.
· Perform appropriate treatments as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner.
· Perform therapeutic treatments as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner.
· Conduct ongoing assessment of patient's condition by observing current conditions and reactions, noting abnormalities and reporting them immediately to the physician.
· Document patient assessment findings physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress towards problem resolution.
· Ensure documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner
· Develop patient/family post-operative instruction based on the patient's individualized needs of the patient and as directed by the surgeon.
· Ensure discharge planning is commenced at the point of admission in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
· Protect the confidentiality surrounding patient admission and treatment at all times.
· Assists in administrative duties including documenting, maintain records, and collecting data for statistics.
· Initiate emergency resuscitative measures according to adult and pediatric resuscitation and advanced life support protocols.
· Maintains current competency in Postoperative nursing.
· Conduct individualized patient assessment, prioritizing the data collection based on the patient's immediate condition or needs.
EDUCATION: · Education
· Associates degree in nursing from an accredited college or university, Bachelors of nursing preferred.
· Licenses
· Current State of Colorado nursing license in good standing
· Certifications
· Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
· Experience
· Two (2) years nursing experience with one (1) year nursing experience in a perioperative setting preferred.
Hire Date: Open until filled WAGE SCALE $35.00 - $54.53 Immunizations required for employment, including COVID-19. FHW offers a full benefits package including:
