Responsibilities
• Provide care to patients funneled in from other units in the medical center.• Advance nursing career in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency.• Thoroughly document and communicate information to the nursing team.• Coordinate and plan care between multiple patients.• Think critically, creatively, and unconventionally when necessary.• Project management to keep healthcare team on track with shared goals.
Requirements
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.• Active Registered Nurse Licensure in Kentucky (KY) or eNLC licensure with multistate privileges in good standing.• Basic Life Support (BLS).• Previous nursing experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Cardiac, Emergency, or Critical Care service lines (preferred).
Key Skills Needed
• Patience and focus to constantly monitor high acuity patients.• Proven ability to think and react quickly in critical or emergency situations.• Medication evaluation, administration, and education specific to the patient's custom care plan.• Facilitate education to patients and caregivers concerning condition, treatment plan, and prevention.• Active participation in decisions affecting practice environment for excellence in delivering quality care to patients.
