Position Title: Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst
Position Overview:
As a Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst, you will serve as a subject matter expert or supervisor, entrusted with the task of designing, building, and testing application solutions. Your role will encompass supporting various functions including Patient Revenue Systems, Quality Assurance, and Change Management. Working closely with end users, you will lead a team of systems analysts to gather application specifications, create detailed design specifications, and build application solutions utilizing development tools. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in documenting and executing test cases, debugging applications, managing release processes, and providing end-user training and technical documentation.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Collaborate with end users or lead a team of systems analysts to gather application specifications.
- Create detailed design specifications for application solutions.
- Build and test application solutions using development tools.
- Document and execute test cases, debugging applications as necessary.
- Participate in release management and software configuration & change management processes.
- Conduct end-user training and provide technical documentation associated with various applications.
Qualifications:
- Valid state driver's license.
- Technical certifications such as MCAD (Microsoft Certified Application Developer) and MCPD (Microsoft Certified Professional Developer) are preferred.
- Associate's degree recommended.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Expertise Required:
- Proficiency in systems development life cycle for packaged applications.
- Strong understanding of business requirements definition and documentation.
- Familiarity with common system and user acceptance testing procedures.
- Knowledge of release management and change management processes.
- Expertise in regulatory compliance including HIPAA, Medicare, CMS, Sarbanes-Oxley, Privacy, and Security.
Additional Skills Preferred:
- Experience with revenue cycle applications such as PATCOM, CareMedic, Healthcare Systems (Medic), UDS/MR, and Home Health.
- Background in the healthcare industry, particularly in medical billing, healthcare provider revenue cycle, clinical coding, or financial management.
- Familiarity with standard software development life cycle approaches (Waterfall, Iterative, and Agile).
- Proficiency in standard testing methodologies, including test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Experience with HP-Mercury Quality Assurance tools (e.g., LoadRunner, Quick Test Pro, Quality Center).
- Knowledge of SQL / PL /SQL and Transact SQL.
- Familiarity with change management systems and processes.
