Full job description We are looking for an Revenue Accountant to join our team! At CPC, we rely on a meticulous financial system to drive business forward. The Finance team keeps that system running smoothly by managing cash influx and collecting payments from clients. We are searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our team to help process, track, and record revenue recognition and invoices in a an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The Revenue Accountant will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.
In this position you will: Review client contracts to determine proper revenue recognition. Review monthly job reports and other financial information to create invoices for submission to clients. Update and maintain miscellaneous billing on job reports and ensure reconciliation to general ledger. Participating in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries and supporting documentation. Ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Perform invoice data entry to ERP accounts receivable module. Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared. Address and solve client questions and issues. Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone and email. Assist in streamlining and improving the revenue recognition and accounts receivable processes. Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting. Support other accounting and finance team members as needed. Here's what you will need to bring to the table :
Associate's degree in accounting or similar discipline, bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting roles Strong mathematical skills Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping Superb time management and detail orientation Experience with accounting software and online platforms. Targeted Compensation: $66,000 - $75,000 annually
