WHO are we looking for? CAPTRUST is seeking a Retirement Counselor Associate II who will meet with employees of retirement plans to holistically advise individuals as to their plan options, provide retirement planning strategies, evaluate their risk tolerance and make asset allocations recommendations based on CAPTRUST investment strategies. The Retirement Counselor will manage specific clients and work directly with clients and Financial Advisors in managing advice projects. This is a full-time position working Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (MDT) and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (MDT) Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:
Communicate retirement plan information in group and individual sessions Manage and maintain specific client projects year over year Develop plan level reporting for client projects Track participant activity Manage specific department tasks such as reporting, ongoing communications, presentation development Travel to client locations and manage expenses; may travel up to 80% of time out of town, including overnight Perform independently and exercise good judgment, with routine supervision Minimum Qualifications: Completion of a four-year college degree or equivalent experience in the following areas (but not limited to): Accounting, Business Administration, Operations, Statistics, Finance, Financial Planning or Economics. 2 years of related industry experience; retirement plans and investment vehicles Professional licenses - minimal of a Series 6 Desired Qualifications/Skills: Strong communications skills including public speaking in group settings Strong interpersonal skills; including being polished, courteous, professional, and patient Good analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Detail oriented Good judgment Good organizational skills (ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines and manage expenses) Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, GAP analysis tools and vendor website navigation WHAT can you expect from your career at CAPTRUST?
