Retail Mechanic Location Logan, UT : Jack's Tire & Oil, a family-owned company, has been serving our customers since 1947. Summary: Maintains the timely and correct completion of assigned repair and alignment work on customer vehicles by performing the following duties at our Logan, Utah location.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.* Ensures all jobs are done using personal protective equipment and with safety as a top priority.* Retrieves customer vehicles into service area for service preparation.* Reviews service orders and inspects vehicles accordingly for additional repairs or malfunctions.* Obtains final approval prior to performing repairs.* Performs repairs and alignment work in accordance with approved quality and efficiency standards.* Applies knowledge of ability to safely utilize all tools and equipment.* Completes service related paperwork in detail and legible format.* Performs other related duties as assigned.* Works with counter personnel on scheduling and billing of all work.* Calls customers following completion of a job.* Moves all finished jobs to completion area and ensures keys are given to counter personnel.* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ability to navigate alignment machine computers and print final specific sheets.
