Retail General Manager

The General Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of the store and of achieving established sales goals while developing and motivating the sales team. You will ensure effective transaction procedures are followed and will be responsible for the management of daily reconciliations and reporting and of the overall performance and P&L of the store. You will also oversee merchandise receiving and store inventory replenishment, ensuring compliance with Customs, airport, and safety regulations, as well as securing company assets while controlling inventory shortages and operational costs.

Responsibilities

Creating an atmosphere geared toward achieving sales and profit goals
Delivering effective leadership to the sales team through team building and motivation
Planning, monitoring and appraising job results of store personnel and managing staff levels
Ensuring customer issues and requests are handled in an efficient and timely manner
Managing control measures to secure both stock and cash at the shops, stores, and warehouse

Qualifications

Multi-unit/brand retail operations management (5 years preferred)
P&L analysis and improvement experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven team building, performance management, and leadership skills
Time management and problem-solving skills
Full understanding of all financial and operational aspects of the retail business
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a multi-brand environment and meet deadlines
Ability to lead, inspire, manage and develop a diverse staff at all levels
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Computer skills to include Office Suite, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
