Maryville is searching for a highly skilled and compassionate Restorative Aide (RA) to join our team. The Restorative aide should demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of safe, restorative nursing care practices, as well as, the ability to use the appropriate skills to assist our residents in their daily lives with respect and dignity.

Provide both the dignity and quality of life for Maryville residents. Teach and assist with use of mobility support or safety devices. Provide routine therapy services under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Perform active range of motion (AROM) and passive range of motion (PROM) in a safe manner to residents as assigned. Review care plans daily to determine if changes in the resident's daily care routine have been made on the care plan. Document daily routine therapy treatments, restorative treatments and periodic progressive reports Participate in care plan meetings when appropriate. Create and uphold an atmosphere of warmth, compassion, enthusiasm, and a calm and cheerful environment. Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies when appropriate. Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Effectively communicate necessary resident information to Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing Services and/or Administrator. Practice excellent body mechanics while delivering restorative nursing care to prevent injuries to self or others.  Maintain a good understanding of medical terminology to Restorative Nursing.  Work with Licensed Rehabilitation Therapists.  Other duties as assigned.  What you'll need: High School diploma or equivalent One year of work experience in a long-term care setting preferred Able to follow the principles of safe body mechanics in all aspects of patient care; able to communicate effectively and empathetic with patients, their family members and staff at every level of the organization; able to read and write in English; able to use math skills; able to enter resident information into a computerized database; attention to detail; able to pass an Oregon DHS background check; and willing and able to take and follow instructions. Current OSBN Certification or proof of graduation within the past two years from a Certified Nursing Assistant training program and proof of being scheduled for the OSBN certification exam. The exam must be completed and passed within four months of hire. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of walking and standing Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at times (transferring, rotating, and assisting residents). Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms; frequently required to stand walk, talk, sit, and hear; occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach above shoulder height, reach below the waist, or lift as needed throughout the work day.
