(No Relocation Assistance) Respiratory Therapist OUR AWARD WINNING CLIENT is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join their team. This is a full-time onsite position with paid relocation available. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct lung capacity assessments and analyze blood samples using a blood gas analyzer. Provide tobacco cessation education and perform bedside PFT and EKGs as ordered by healthcare providers. Deliver and evaluate response to prescribed therapy, monitoring and documenting patient condition accordingly. Assess and respond to codes and emergent calls for assistance, administering appropriate treatment as needed. Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and available support resources within the community. Manage inventory, receiving, stocking, and distributing respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders. Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, and sterilization of equipment, performing preventative maintenance and calibration as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care License - Required Graduate of a CRT or RRT Program - Preferred Bachelor's degree - Preferred Required Skills: Proficiency in critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP). Technical skills: Lung capacity measurement, blood gas analysis, respiratory therapy equipment maintenance.
