PURPOSE STATEMENT: The Resource Coordinator is responsible for building census in Acadia facilities by conducting business development activities in territories as assigned . Responsible for assessing the behavioral health services in the state to determine opportunities available to ma rket Acadia's child focused programs . Present CBS/Acadia services to decision makers and work to establish a long standing relationship . Serves as a liaison for both the facilities and referral sources to adequately relay pertinent information, i.e. concerns/problems that may arise during the care of a patient. Keeps abreast of policy and market changes in assigned territories.  
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conducts needs assessments in states and underserved areas to find markets f or Acadia's child focused programs.   Identifies decision makers in the target markets and reaches out to establish relationships within the behavioral healthcare community.   Completes face-to-face sales meetings with decision makers to understand customer's needs and identify/ eliminate obstacles to securing contracts for CBS/Acadia services.   Begins preliminary discussions around co ntracting and coordinates with contracting to complete process.    Participates in the d evelop ment of presentations, customize them to the target audience and present in meetings geared to creating an awareness of CBS/Acadia services.   Attend and participate in conferences where opportunity exists to market CBS/Acadia services.   Responds immediately to service and referral inquiries.    Facilitates the receiving of referrals from the field, reviewing the referral packet to determine what facilities in network would best meet the treatment needs of the referral, ensuring a quick disposition from the facilities, targeting a facility for admission and then managing the case to admission.   Serves as case manager in communicating with referral source, Acadia program and referral to walk through the admission process, secure transportation and address any concerns that arise in the process.   Handles denial appeal and information flow for more updated information to aid facility in making appropriate disposition .   Documents accounts and referral source information in referral dat abase and work with Referral Coordination Center to equip them with referral source information to respond efficiently and effectively to referrals coming through the call center.   Participates in business development team meetings and assigned projects.   Meets monthly business development goals.   Remains current on behavioral healthcare industry developments and assigned states regulations.    Participates in monthly Treatment team and CFT team meetings on a consistent basis to keep up with progress of cases in house.   Parti cipates and takes lead in d isruptio n or problematic case s requiring intervention or removal of client from current program and insures appropriate discharge plan is in place .     Aids in discharge planning as territory resou rce for clients and facility discharge planners.   STANDARD EXPECTATIONS : Complies with organizational policies, procedures, performance improvement initiatives and maintains organizational and industry policies regarding confidentiality.   Communicate clearly and effectively to person(s) receiving services and their family members, guests and other members of the health care team.   Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time.   Develop and maintains positive working relationship with facilities and key departmental staff.   Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.   Maintains regular and predictable attendance. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in relevant field is required ,   Master's degree in social services or education is preferred.   Three to five years' experience driving business results in a healthcare role; preferably in behavioral health.   Proven ability to build relationships and drive business results in a behavioral health environment is required .   Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint .   Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment.   Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.   Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.   Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.   Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.   Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames . Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.   Capable of working within established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization.   English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions.   LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: Not Applicable   SUPERVISORY REQUIRE MEN TS:   ??
