Job Description: Residential Generator Sales Consultant Job Summary: As a Residential Generator Sales Consultant, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling generator solutions to homeowners and residential clients. Your expertise in generators, combined with your sales skills, will enable you to identify customer needs, provide tailored recommendations, and close deals that ensure their power backup requirements are met.
Potential Earnings: $100,000 - $175,000 Per year
Responsibilities: Client Engagement: Cultivate relationships with homeowners, real estate agents, and property managers to generate leads and referrals. Conduct consultations with prospective clients to assess their power backup needs and understand their specific requirements. Product Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of residential generator systems, including features, benefits, and applications. Educate clients about different generator options, fuel types, capacities, and installation considerations. Sales Process: Lead the entire sales process, from initial contact to finalizing the sale and post-sale support. Customize proposals and presentations to address the unique needs of each residential client. Technical Expertise: Provide clear explanations of technical aspects, such as generator sizing, load requirements, and installation procedures. Collaborate with installation teams to ensure accurate and feasible solutions are proposed. Quota Achievement: Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals on a consistent basis. Develop strategies to reach potential clients and capitalize on market opportunities. Market Awareness: Stay informed about trends in residential power backup solutions and competitor offerings. Utilize market insights to position the company's residential generator products effectively. Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of sales interactions, client preferences, and communication in the company's CRM system. Qualifications: Education: A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus. Experience: Proven track record in residential sales, with experience in selling power backup solutions, generators, or related products. Technical Understanding: Familiarity with residential generator systems, power distribution, and basic electrical concepts. Prior experience in the power equipment industry is advantageous. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical details, build rapport with residential clients, and deliver compelling presentations. Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead a sales process, manage objections, and close deals. A consultative selling approach is preferred. Customer-Centric: Passionate about understanding and addressing customer needs, providing excellent service, and building long-term client relationships. Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple leads, appointments, and tasks efficiently. Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills. Computer Proficiency: Proficient in using basic computer applications, email, and CRM software. Familiarity with sales tracking tools is beneficial. Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively negotiate terms, pricing, and contract agreements while maintaining client satisfaction and company profitability.
