Job summary
Provide training for residents towards independence in all activities of daily living.Assist individuals with daily self-care needs.Maintain relationships with service providers and support individuals in meeting their needs.

Responsibilities
• Provide training and supervision in various activities of daily living.• Assist individuals with bathing, dressing, and feeding.• Accompany and transport individuals on shopping and recreation trips.• Provide nutritional support and perform fire drills as required.• Intervene in crises to prevent injury.• Communicate with family, guardians, and advocates for individuals.• Observe and document individual's performance and behaviors.• Act as a positive role model and assist with therapeutic activities.• Administer and monitor medications as prescribed.• Assist with the maintenance of the residence.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED.• Valid and clean NYS driver's license.• CPR and First Aid certification.• Pass an OPWDD Background Check.
