Residency Program Coord I Location Newport, OR : JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Continually provides assessment and directs a wide range of programmatic issues including long range planning, recruiting trainees, developing projects, analyzing administrative workflow, maintaining databases, communicating with physician faculty and trainees regarding a range of issues and managing internal/external program relations. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Graduate Medical Education programs are designed to create a legacy of quality physicians and lifelong learners through a rigorous academic program integrated with clinical practice. The aims of these educational experiences are to enhance and expand medical knowledge, promote best practices in health care, develop clinical skills associated with improving the delivery and quality of health care services, and collaborate with other academic institutions to provide superior training for resident physicians. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Associate's degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. One (1) year healthcare related experience required. Medical/adult education experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Communication: Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues.
